now

Boredom exists because the most hysterical people are not utilizing their reservoirs of intellect and creativity in an appropriately proactive way. This album is hysteria, at its ultimate capacity...and I am feeling a little less bored.

crave

I Crave you
like the ebb and flow
of the sea
Crave the full moon
I Crave you
as the creatures of night
Crave the stars
and cosmic nourishment
I Crave the immense
UNIVERSE
compressedintoasingleatom
incapable of splitting
won't you stop expanding?
won't you remain inert?
You
You're my dark matter
and without your dense dust
I would, most surely shatter
Pull
Pull my mass
I'm gravitating
accelerating
Brake,
Brake not too fast
The forlorn planets are commiserating

Slowdive - When the Sun Hits

Dry the River - "Shaker Hymns" (Gospel Oak Session)

beast

you tread uncharted territories
and traverse the fickle lands
and I remain thoroughly steadfast
in the hopes of embracing you again
The twain of us exist
in the tranquility of my soul
yet you roam the jagged earth
and I, the dust ridden bowl
I've envisioned warmth and death
strolls at dawn and swims at dusk
odes and hymns, wakes and elegies
impaled by an ivory tusk
I've often contemplated truth
and its precarious state of being
as its flooded by the blindest of men
plagued by the misgivings of not seeing
You, your eyes protrude
in the swarming heat of night
and you, you tell your tales
of creeping woe and plight
For you, you cannot remain
you're the beast that rides along the winds of trade
that preys on all the blinding beauty
that's been shrouded centuries in the shade

gelatin silver print by Walker Evans

I wonder about this woman. about this child. the pensive sculpture that mirrors the pose of the glowing young woman. and the incoherent scribblings on the wall. the crude illustrations of a reality that once existed. a reality that was once inhabited and rendered pictorially. the woman and the child in the photograph no longer exist. yet here they are. in our field of vision. creating such an illusion of expansiveness and depth that their reality seems, for a fleeting moment, attainable. death has captured the two, mercilessly. yet, here they are, anonymous phantoms that continue to crawl through the recesses of restless minds.

immemorial

nurture nature. cultivate the mind. and watch the rest of the world disintegrate.

greatness

It is humanity that is solely responsible for all that is created. If we take a brief moment to examine the magnitude of this seemingly boundless collective psyche responsible for such creation, we will be nothing short of astonished. And if we are perpetually astonished, well, the possibilities are endless. To be awestruck is to be inspired.

robert doisneau

we navigate through barbed wire in much the same way that we navigate through love-with reckless abandon and vigilant eyes that are in perpetual pursuit for soundness while still reveling in love's perilous kingdom.
